Official Guinness World Record Holder
On May 12, 2026, Guinness World Records officially confirmed the School of Eloquence, Nigeria, as the new Guinness World Record holder for the: “Longest Speech Marathon by a Team”
The historic attempt, titled “20 Days of Eloquence – Nigeria Speaks to the World”, ran continuously for 480 HOURS from April 1 to April 21, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria.
This monumental achievement surpassed the previous world record held in New Zealand and established a new global benchmark in endurance speaking, communication discipline, and coordinated public speaking execution.
But beyond the record itself, this achievement represented something far deeper. It became a global statement that disciplined voice still matters. That ideas still matter. That communication remains one of humanity’s most powerful tools for leadership, influence, and transformation.
More Than A Record Attempt
The 20 Days of Eloquence marathon was not merely about speaking for long hours. It was about demonstrating:
- intellectual endurance,

For 20 consecutive days, Nigerians from diverse backgrounds maintained a live relay of speeches, presentations, discussions, ideas, debates, reflections, and public communication before a global audience. Participants included:

The official adjudication announcement was delivered virtually by Guinness World Records Senior Adjudicator Lena Kuhlmann, who praised the:

- As the official certificate was unveiled live during the announcement ceremony, the School of Eloquence was formally welcomed into the Guinness World Records family with the words: “You are now officially amazing.” Those words now form part of the enduring legacy of this institution.
