“The Eloquence Equation: The Formula for Communication Mastery”
By Ubong Essien, CSP — Dean, School of Eloquence

What if eloquent communication had a formula?
It does.
And Monica discovered it during her second session. I wrote it on the board:
C + C + (C) = C²
Where:
- C¹ = Content
- C² = Conveyance
- (C) = Context
- C² = The Crux of Communication
Let’s break it down.
Your content is what you say.
Your conveyance is how you say it—your voice, body, face, tone, posture.
Your context is where and why you’re saying it—funeral, boardroom, wedding, market stall.
Put them together correctly, and you arrive at the Crux of Communication—where message meets meaning and impact is made.
This was a turning point for Monica.
She realized that:
- A good message with bad delivery fails.
- A strong delivery in the wrong context falls flat.
- But the alignment of all three produces eloquence in full bloom.
“This one formula,” I told her, “guarantees you 65% of speaking mastery.” And with it, Monica began to speak—not just to be heard, but to be felt.
